Imbrie Brass Wall Sconce.
The Imbrie Brass Wall Sconce features a curved semi-cylindrical hood shade supported by an arched gooseneck arm and a stepped circular backplate in an antique brass finish. Which width should I choose?
Both share the same 8.5″ projection and 6.3″ height and differ only in width. The L 16.1″ is a compact library-style sconce for a bedside, reading nook or above a small piece of art; the L 22″ is a wider version to light a longer stretch of shelving, a mantel or a wide mirror. Both use two bulbs.
How is the light directed?
The gooseneck arm and semi-cylindrical hood give functional directional light, casting a focused wash where you aim the hood — ideal over books, art or a headboard. It is a task/accent fixture rather than a full-room light.
What bulbs do you recommend?
It takes 2 × E26/E27 bulbs. Use E26/E27 LED bulbs at about 6–9W each in warm white (2700 K) for a cozy library glow, or a touch brighter for reading. Bulbs are not included. E26 vs E27 guide →
How do I clean the brass?
Switch off and let it cool, then wipe the brass hood, arm and backplate with a soft, dry microfiber cloth. For marks, use a barely-damp cloth and dry immediately; avoid abrasive or acidic cleaners, which can dull the finish — especially on the antique brass option.
