The Pillar Offset Wall Light.
An Art Deco-inspired wall sconce echoing the architectural pillar vocabulary of 1920s skyscraper lobbies — slender reeded glass rods bundle into a vertical column, mounted on a polished brass rectangular backplate capped at top and bottom by spherical brass finials.

The Pillar Offset belongs to a wider Art Deco lighting tradition — the reeded-glass-and-polished-brass vocabulary that defined American skyscraper lobbies, 1920s ocean liners, and Hollywood Regency interiors. Vertical reeding (the parallel rod treatment) was used to read the column form at any distance, refract light into countless tiny streaks, and elevate the most utilitarian fixtures into ornament.
Here the language is reset for the modern wall: a cluster of slender reeded glass rods bundles into a clean cylindrical column, framed by a solid brass rectangular backplate and capped by spherical brass finials at top and bottom. The bathroom-rated build means it works equally well in a powder room, vanity surround, hallway, or formal entry. Pairs effortlessly with Art Deco, Hollywood Regency, contemporary, modern luxe, transitional, and modern-classic interiors.

Which height should I choose?
Both versions share the same ∅ 12 cm wall footprint and projection — only height differs:
Compact (H 40 cm): powder rooms, hallways, narrow walls, accent placements where you want the Art Deco silhouette without it dominating.
Tall (H 60 cm): bathroom vanities, formal entries, staircase walls, larger spaces where the verticality reads as a statement.
Wall sconces typically center at ~165 cm / 65″ from the floor, but vanity placement is often closer to ~152 cm / 60″ — measure to your eye level for the best result.
Is it really safe for the bathroom?
Yes — the Pillar is rated for indoor wet-area bathroom installation. That said, install it outside the immediate splash zone (not directly above the shower head, not where it can be sprayed by the showerhead or tub faucet). Best placement is flanking a vanity mirror, on a hallway leading into the bathroom, or above a vanity counter where it stays dry. Confirm exact local code requirements with a licensed electrician.
What kind of bulb does it use, and is it dimmable?
One E14 small Edison screw bulb (LED recommended; not included) sits behind the reeded glass column. For the most striking Art Deco look, choose a candle-tip ("torpedo") bulb in warm color temperature (2700K-3000K) — the slim shape complements the vertical reeded refraction.
Dimmable when paired with a dimmable E14 LED bulb and an LED-rated wall dimmer.
How is it installed?
Hardwired wall mount — connects to a standard wall junction box behind the brass rectangular backplate. Requires an external wall light switch for on/off control (not included). Professional electrician recommended, especially for bathroom installations where local wet-zone codes apply.

Just what I needed for our bedroom! The lights work well and are very attractive. Small complaint is the bracket warps a bit when attaching to the wall, so the screws for the lamp base cover to not quite match up. I also could have screwed it to the wall too tightly Overall the mounting still felt pretty strong.
