Where does this sconce work best?
At L 4.7″ × W 5.5″ × H 15″ the Bedford is a slim, tailored sconce that suits a bedside, powder room, hallway or entryway. The conical white linen shade gives soft task and accent light, and it pairs well mounted symmetrically to flank a mirror or bed.
What bulbs do you recommend?
Use E14/E12 LED candle bulbs at 4–5W in warm white (2700 K); the linen shade diffuses the light into a soft, warm glow, warm enough for reading in bed. Bulbs are not included. E12 vs E14 guide →
How high should I mount it?
As a bedside sconce, mount it 15–25 cm / 6–10″ above the mattress so the light falls where you read; flanking a vanity mirror, place a pair with the center around eye level (150–165 cm / 59–65″ from the floor). It is hardwired to a standard wall junction box.
How do I clean the linen shade and brass?
Dust the linen shade with a soft brush or a vacuum brush attachment on low; spot-clean a mark with a barely-damp cloth and mild soap, then let it air-dry fully. Wipe the brass stem and backplate with a soft, dry cloth, keeping liquid off the finish. Switch off and let it cool first.
