The Halcyon Alabaster Pendant Light features a disc-shaped natural alabaster stone diffuser encased in a low-profile metal rim with a central brass detail. Which size should I choose?
All three share the same slim 2″ (5 cm) disc profile and differ only in diameter. ∅ 7.9″ (20 cm, ~10W) is a delicate single pendant for a bedside or nook; ∅ 9.8″ (25 cm, ~15W) suits an island or table; ∅ 11.8″ (30 cm, ~20W) is the statement size for dining tables and entryways. They also look striking hung in a cluster at staggered heights.
How high should I hang it?
Over a table or island, hang the disc about 75–90 cm / 30–35″ above the surface. Each pendant ships with a 150 cm / 59″ wire that can be extended on request, so it also works over stairwells and in high-ceiling rooms. Contact us with your ceiling height before shipping.
Is it dimmable, and how bright is it?
The Halcyon uses an integrated LED (~10–20W by size) that glows warmly through the alabaster disc for soft, downward ambient light. It works with a common wall switch; for dimming, pair it with a compatible LED wall dimmer.
Is each alabaster disc unique, and how do I clean it?
Yes — alabaster is a natural stone, so veining and translucency vary from disc to disc; that variation is part of the material, not a defect. To clean, switch off and let it cool, then dust with a soft, dry cloth. Alabaster is porous — never use water, solvents or abrasive cleaners on the stone; wipe the brass detail gently with a dry cloth too.

Alabaster is a mineral first worked by the Egyptians and Greeks — prized then, as now, for its translucency and quiet grain. Each of our fixtures begins as a block of raw stone and ends in a fixture that glows as if lit from inside the earth itself.
A material that changes a room.
Synthetic shades mimic the look. Alabaster is the look. Semi-translucent, naturally warm, and quietly alive — it softens the light passing through it and fills a space with the kind of glow that makes people slow down.
To work with alabaster is to follow the stone — not force it. Each block tells the carver where the light wants to go.
Four steps from
quarry to fixture.
Every alabaster piece passes through the same four hands — cutting, shaping, drilling, finishing. What arrives at your door carries the trace of all of them.
Cutting
Raw blocks are scored and cut on precision stone saws — every dimension traced from the original design, every grain of the stone respected.
Shaping
Complex curves are turned on lathes and carved by hand. Each fixture's silhouette is coaxed from the stone rather than imposed on it.
Drilling
Concealed channels are drilled for wiring and concealed hardware — invisible in the finished piece, but critical to the clean line.
Finishing
Polished to a soft lustre or honed to matte — whichever brings the stone's veining forward without overpowering it.
