Each glass shade connects to the conductive textile belt through a buckle using a plug-in connection. The glass shades do not slide laterally along the belt — instead, the height of each shade is set by repositioning the textile belt at its buckles, and the belt tension can be adjusted from taut to relaxed. Note that the white covering on the hanging ring is a factory protective film; peel it off before use.

The belt is offered in two materials. Terra Red is a woven canvas (textile) belt — softer, lighter in tone, with a more relaxed drape. Brown Leather is a leather belt — firmer, warmer, and richer, with a more structured hang and a tactile, refined surface. The Model A 3-Head (47″ drop) suits a standard dining table or a compact stairwell. The Model B 3-Head (110″ drop) is an extended-drop version for double-height spaces, atriums, and tall stairwells. Yes — because the textile belt is a finished, attractive element in itself, the system can be mounted across a ceiling, run along a wall, or left to drape for a more relaxed, informal effect.
