The Linfort draws on the French First Empire chandelier tradition — the early 19th-century Napoleonic period when Versailles, the Tuileries, and grand Parisian interiors established the vocabulary of tiered brass crowns studded with cut-crystal jewels above cascading curtains of crystal teardrops. The chandelier was both lighting and ceremony, signaling status as guests entered a room.

Independently designed and manufactured by Dekorfine in the spirit of that tradition, with our own modern proportions and construction.

The three configurations differ not just in size but in visual majesty — more layers mean fuller drama and more crystal cascade:

3-layer (∅23 cm · 5 bulbs): compact and quietly ornamental. Best for bedrooms, powder rooms, narrow entries, walk-in closets, or hallway niches.
4-layer (∅38 cm · 7 bulbs): balanced statement. Best for mid-sized dining tables (4-6 person), master bedrooms, mid-sized entries.
5-layer (∅45 cm · 8 bulbs): full Empire majesty. Best for standard dining tables (6-person), grand foyers, formal living rooms with ceilings 2.7 m / 9 ft or higher.

For dining tables, pick a chandelier diameter roughly 1/3 to 1/2 the table's narrow dimension.

For the most dramatic crystal refraction effect, use clear (non-frosted) E14 candle filament bulbs. The crystal teardrops fragment a bright point-source light into rainbow facets — frosted bulbs diffuse the light too softly and lose the sparkle effect.

Recommended: clear E14 LED candle filament bulbs, 2700K-3000K warm white, around 4-6W (40-60W incandescent equivalent). Buy enough for your configuration: 5 bulbs (3-layer) · 7 bulbs (4-layer) · 8 bulbs (5-layer).

Dimmable when paired with dimmable E14 LED bulbs and an LED-rated wall dimmer — dimming is essential for evening dining ambiance.

The Linfort can be installed with either a 30 cm chain or a 30 cm rigid suspension rod — the choice depends on aesthetic preference:

Chain: the traditional French Empire look — softens the descent, adds visible ornament, allows the chandelier to gently sway. Best with traditional and Hollywood Regency interiors.
Rod: a cleaner more contemporary line — disappears visually so the crown reads as floating. Best with transitional and modern luxe interiors.

Both options are extendable on request — contact us with your ceiling height for custom lengths.

Crystal teardrops attract dust on every facet and lose sparkle when dirty. Switch off and let cool, then dust gently with a soft microfiber cloth or chandelier cleaner spray (lightly applied to the cloth, not directly onto the lamp).

For deep cleaning, individual teardrops can be wiped with a 50/50 distilled water + isopropyl alcohol mix applied to the cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or paper towels which can scratch the polished brass and dull the crystal facets. Plan a deep clean every 6-12 months for the chandelier to stay at full sparkle.
