The story

Mid-century, materially considered.

The Stringer pulls from 1950s–60s mid-century design language — natural wood as the structural anchor, polished metal as the decorative accent, and softened fabric to diffuse the light. Each material plays a distinct role: the solid wood cone base grounds the silhouette and gives it weight; the antique gold metal rings stack along the cone for a stringer-like decorative rhythm; the linen pleated shade tops the form and casts a warm, evenly-diffused glow.

The result reads as a sculptural object first, light source second — equally suited to a console, side table, bedside, or sideboard.

What's included, and how is the lamp installed?

The Stringer ships with the wood cone base and antique gold rings pre-assembled, plus the linen pleated shade packaged separately for safe shipping. Installation is just two steps: thread the shade onto the harp/finial fitment at the top of the base, then secure with the included finial. Watch the Lampshade installation video linked in the videos above before you start.

Once assembled, simply plug the 150 cm / 59″ cord into a standard wall outlet and use the inline push-button switch to turn on. No hardwiring required. Add an E26 / E27 bulb (not included) before plugging in.

What kind of bulb does it use, and is it dimmable?

One E26 / E27 screw-base bulb (LED or Edison; not included). E26 in North America, E27 in Europe. Warm-white LED at 2700K is recommended for the most flattering glow through the linen pleated shade.

The lamp is not dimmable — the inline push-button switch is on/off only. For adjustable warmth, consider a smart bulb (Hue, LIFX, or similar) with phone-app dimming and color-temperature control, independent of the lamp's switch.

What are the wood-and-shade combinations?

Two base finishes (Wood color or Walnut color) and two shade colors (Beige or Brown linen) — typically paired:

Wood color base + Beige linen shade: the lighter, brighter combination — best for cream walls, oak floors, modern farmhouse and Scandi interiors.
Walnut color base + Brown linen shade: the deeper, warmer combination — best for darker rooms, traditional libraries, mid-century modern, and rooms with leather upholstery.

The antique gold metal rings remain consistent across both combinations, providing a unifying decorative accent.

Where does the Stringer work best?

At H 50 cm / 19.7″, the Stringer is a substantial table lamp — best on surfaces where a presence-piece feels balanced rather than oversized. Pairs effortlessly with mid-century modern, contemporary, transitional, modern luxe, and warm-traditional interiors.

Best placements: console tables in entryways, sideboards in dining rooms, side tables beside a sofa or armchair, nightstands in larger primary bedrooms (avoid small-footprint nightstands), and credenzas in studies. Pairs especially well with leather, wool, marble, brass hardware, and warm-neutral palettes.

This policy applies to all lighting fixtures sold on dekorfine.com worldwide. You have 30 calendar days from receiving your item to request a return — the terms below keep every case fair for both sides.

The 30-Day
Window

Thirty days, simply stated.

You have 30 calendar days from the delivery date — verified by carrier tracking — to request a return or exchange. Items must be unused, with original tags and packaging, and accompanied by a receipt or proof of purchase.

Who pays return shipping

Quality or transport issue — we cover free return and exchange, including shipping.
Personal preference — if the fixture simply isn't right for you, return shipping is your responsibility. Rates vary by carrier.

Common consumer reasons: the product didn't meet expectations, sizing concerns, color preferences, change of mind, wrong item or quantity ordered, or overlooked product specifications.

Please inspect your order on arrival. If anything is defective, damaged, or incorrect, contact support@dekorfine.com immediately so we can make it right.

Eligibility

What qualifies for a full refund.

Eligible — we cover 100% of costs

Product damaged due to quality defects or transit.
Unused items returned within the 30-day window.
Any item returned to sender undelivered.
Any item not delivered within 90 days.

Not eligible for return or exchange

Items returned outside the 30-day window.
Orders or items valued at $5,000 or more.
Bespoke, custom, or special-order products made to your specifications.
Light bulbs.
Products not in original condition or packaging.
Bulk orders — three or more of the same product. For large orders we recommend purchasing a single item first to confirm fit.

For items not eligible for refund, customers are responsible for return shipping. Shipping charges are non-refundable.

Cancellation
& EU Terms

Canceling an order.

Cancellations are possible within 3 days of order confirmation. Once this window closes, if the order hasn't shipped yet, contact us — we may still be able to help. Once the package is in transit, orders cannot be canceled.

If you insist on canceling after shipment, a 30%–50% fee (warehousing, order processing, and shipping costs) will be deducted from your refund. Please review your order carefully before confirming.

European Union — 14-day cooling-off

Orders shipped to the EU may be canceled or returned within 14 days for any reason, without justification. The item must still be unused, with original tags and packaging, and accompanied by proof of purchase.

Submit an inquiry to support@dekorfine.com including your reason for return.
We confirm the refund amount based on your reason and the items in your order.
We provide the return address and shipment labeling instructions. Refunds require these instructions to be followed.
You ship at your own cost. We do not cover return shipping or supply prepaid labels. Please include your order confirmation email inside the package.
Notify us by email once shipped, and share the tracking number if available.
We process your return within 3–5 business days of receipt.

Exchanges

The fastest way to get the item you want is to return the original, and once the return is accepted, place a separate order for the replacement.

Refund
Timing

Refunds, honestly timed.

Once we've received and inspected your return, we'll notify you whether the refund is approved. If approved, funds return automatically to your original payment method within 10 business days.

Bear in mind that your bank or card issuer may need additional time to process and post the refund on their end.

If more than 15 business days have passed since your return was approved and the refund hasn't arrived, please write to support@dekorfine.com and we'll look into it.
