A vintage-inspired wall sconce — a curved brass arm supports a pleated fabric shade with a single E26 / E27 bulb. Two configurations to choose from for bedside, hallway, living-room, reading nook, or dining-area placement.

The story
A sconce, vintage at heart.
The Baylor draws on the vintage brass-sconce vocabulary familiar from 1940s-60s American interiors — a graceful curved arm anchored to a wall plate, capped with a tailored pleated shade that softens and diffuses the bulb behind it. The polished brass warms with age, the hand-pleated fabric filters light into a flattering ambient glow, and the proportions read as both classic and quietly composed. Pairs effortlessly with traditional, transitional, mid-century modern, Hollywood Regency, warm-classic, and Hamptons interiors.

Which configuration should I choose?
Both share the same height (30 cm) and wall projection (W 15 cm); the difference is the length:
Configuration A · L 15 cm: compact footprint. Best for narrow walls, bedside reading, hallway repetition, paired symmetry around a mirror or doorway.
Configuration B · L 34 cm: longer horizontal projection. Best for sofa-flanking, larger wall surfaces, over a headboard, or as a hallway anchor where a single sconce needs more presence.
What kind of bulb does it use, and is it dimmable?
Single E26 or E27 medium screw bulb (LED recommended; not included). E26 is the US/Canada standard, E27 is the EU/UK/Asia/Australia standard — physically interchangeable. Recommend a warm-white 2700K LED at 5-7W for the most flattering glow through the pleated shade.
The sconce itself has no built-in dimmer. Dimmable when paired with a dimmable LED bulb + an LED-rated wall dimmer on the external switch.
How is it installed?
The Baylor is a hardwired wall sconce — it mounts to a standard wall junction box and connects to a common external wall switch (not included) for on/off control. Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician unless you're experienced with line-voltage wiring.
The fixture does not include a built-in switch on the lamp body — the wall switch must be wired into the line for safe operation.
Where does it work best?
The brass-and-pleated-shade silhouette pairs effortlessly with traditional, transitional, mid-century modern, Hollywood Regency, warm-classic, and Hamptons interiors. Best placements:
Bedside (above headboard or on flanking walls): Configuration A in pairs.
Hallways: A in repetition for runner-style symmetry, or B as a single anchor.
Living rooms: B flanking a sofa or fireplace · A flanking artwork.
Reading nooks: single A or B above a chair shoulder.
Dining areas: B in pairs flanking a sideboard or art piece.
