The story
Petals of light, arranged on a brass armature.
The Capiz Pendant draws inspiration from the traditional Filipino capiz-shell craft — the use of thin, naturally translucent windowpane oyster slices that softly diffuse light. Here, that pearly translucent quality is recreated in petal-cut glass plates arranged on a brass framework, layer upon layer, into a perfect flower sphere.
Each panel filters the bulb's light into a warm, diffused glow with subtle texture and organic radiance — like a flower in full bloom catching afternoon sun. Pairs effortlessly with bohemian, coastal, modern romantic, biophilic, and warm-eclectic interiors.

Where does the Capiz work best?
At ∅ 20 cm, the Capiz is a compact accent pendant — best in spots where its sculptural floral form can be seen up close: over a bedside, at the entry, in a powder room, at a stair landing, or over a small reading nook.
For broader spaces (dining tables, kitchen islands), consider a larger statement chandelier instead — the Capiz is intentionally jewel-box scaled.
What kind of bulb does it use, and is it dimmable?
One E26 or E27 standard screw bulb (LED recommended; not included). Pick a warm color temperature (2700K–3000K) so the colored glass petals glow with a soft amber radiance.
Dimmable when paired with a dimmable LED bulb and an LED-rated wall dimmer — dimming gently lowers the petal glow without changing color tone.
Are the glass petals delicate?
The petal-cut glass plates are secured into the brass framework at multiple points and arrive packed in protective foam. Handle the sphere by the brass cap or central stem rather than gripping individual petals during install. Once mounted, the design is stable and resistant to normal household conditions — but as with any decorative glass piece, avoid striking the petals during cleaning.
Can the cable be extended?
Standard cable is 150 cm / 59″. Cable length is extendable on request for higher ceilings or stairwell installations — contact support@dekorfine.com with your required drop length before placing your order.
