Where does this sconce work best?
At L 6.3″ × W 13.8″ × H 11.8″ the Gaspard is a gooseneck task sconce for a bedside for reading, above a desk or workspace, beside a mirror, or over art. The gooseneck arm holds the conical shade out from the wall and its swivel joint lets you aim the light exactly where you need it.
Can I aim the light?
Yes. A swivel joint at the shade mount lets you tilt and angle the conical shade for tailored directional light, casting a focused, glare-free downward beam — ideal as task lighting. Subtle pinhole perforations near the top add a soft accent of light upward.
How high should I mount it?
As a bedside reading light, mount it about 15–25 cm / 6–10″ above the mattress and aim the shade down toward the pillow. Over a desk or art, position it above the area and angle the swivel to suit. It is hardwired to a standard wall junction box.
What bulbs do you recommend, and how do I clean it?
Use an E14/E12 LED candle bulb at 4–5W in warm white (2700 K), or a touch brighter for task use; bulbs are not included. To clean, switch off and let it cool, then wipe the metal shade and arm with a soft, dry cloth; use a barely-damp cloth for marks and dry immediately, avoiding abrasive cleaners. E12 vs E14 guide →
