Drop Alabaster Wall Sconce.

The Drop Alabaster Wall Sconce updates the concept of statement lighting, pairing a dark, textured aged-bronze metal stem and backplate with vertically stacked, hand-polished spheres of natural veined alabaster. Ideal for primary bathroom vanity lighting or as a sophisticated element in a powder room, it is equally suited to flanking a hallway mirror or illuminating an entryway. The handcrafted look and minimal profile create a unique focal point that highlights the distinctive mineral patterns of each genuine stone sphere without overpowering the space.

Please note Each alabaster sphere is natural stone – its veining, translucency and tone vary by piece, so your sconce will differ slightly from the photos, and no two are alike.
Bulb note We recommend 120V G4 bulbs. Please check the bulb dimensions against the dimension drawings – bulbs that are too large will not fit inside the spheres.

Frequently asked

Questions, answered.

Which option should I choose?

The 3 Heads (H 19.7″) is sized for flanking a bathroom vanity or hallway mirror and for powder rooms. The two 7 Heads options (both H 39.4″) are tall statement sconces for entryways, stairwells and tall feature walls – see the dimension drawings for the difference between versions A and B.

How high should I mount it?

For the 3 Heads, mount the center around eye level, roughly 150–165 cm / 59–65″ from the floor; flanking a vanity mirror, place a sconce on each side about 36–40″ apart. For the 7 Heads, center the sconce on the wall area you want to highlight and allow clear space above and below for its full 39.4″ height. It is hardwired to a standard wall junction box and controlled by an external wall switch (not included). We recommend installation by a licensed electrician.

What bulbs do you recommend?

This sconce takes G4 bulbs – 3 or 7 depending on size. We recommend 120V G4 LED bulbs at about 1.5–2W each in warm white (2700 K). The spheres are compact, so check the bulb dimensions against the dimension drawings before buying – oversized bulbs will not fit. Bulbs are not included. G9 & G4 bulb guide →

How do I care for the alabaster?

Alabaster is a soft, porous natural stone – clean the spheres with a soft, dry cloth only and never use water, sprays or cleaning products, which can mark or dull the surface. Wipe the stem and backplate with a soft, dry cloth as well. Switch off at the wall and let the bulbs cool first. Natural veining and tonal variations are part of the stone’s character, not a defect.

Alabaster lighting collection
The Alabaster Collection

Stone that
holds the light.

Hand-quarried alabaster, carved into vessels that glow from within — a material as old as architecture itself, rendered for the modern home.

The Material

Carved from stone,
finished by hand.

Alabaster is a mineral first worked by the Egyptians and Greeks — prized then, as now, for its translucency and quiet grain. Each of our fixtures begins as a block of raw stone and ends in a fixture that glows as if lit from inside the earth itself.

Why Alabaster

A material that changes a room.

Synthetic shades mimic the look. Alabaster is the look. Semi-translucent, naturally warm, and quietly alive — it softens the light passing through it and fills a space with the kind of glow that makes people slow down.

01
Naturally translucent. Light passes through, not around — the fixture itself becomes the source.
02
One-of-a-kind veining. Every piece carries a different pattern — your fixture will not exist anywhere else.
03
Warm by nature. The stone's creamy tone renders LED light flattering and soft — never cold, never clinical.
04
Timeless, not trending. A material used in sacred architecture for three thousand years — it will outlast every design cycle.

To work with alabaster is to follow the stone — not force it. Each block tells the carver where the light wants to go.

From the Dekorfine Atelier
The Craft

Four steps from
quarry to fixture.

Every alabaster piece passes through the same four hands — cutting, shaping, drilling, finishing. What arrives at your door carries the trace of all of them.

Cutting alabaster blocks
01

Cutting

Raw blocks are scored and cut on precision stone saws — every dimension traced from the original design, every grain of the stone respected.

Shaping and turning alabaster
02

Shaping

Complex curves are turned on lathes and carved by hand. Each fixture's silhouette is coaxed from the stone rather than imposed on it.

Drilling for wiring and fittings
03

Drilling

Concealed channels are drilled for wiring and concealed hardware — invisible in the finished piece, but critical to the clean line.

Polishing and surface finishing
04

Finishing

Polished to a soft lustre or honed to matte — whichever brings the stone's veining forward without overpowering it.

L
Lillian Castillo

We chose the three-globe version for our hallway, and it looks great. I'm happy with how it turned out.

S
Sebastian King

I chose the black finish because most of our furniture has darker accents. The contrast with the white alabaster looks really nice. It was exactly the look I wanted.

J
Josiah Smith

The glow through the alabaster is lovely. We used warm white bulbs, and the stone looks especially pretty in the evening.

X
Xavier Reyes

We added this to the wall near our staircase. The long shape works nicely with the height of the space.

H
Hazel Ross

I was pleasantly surprised by the stone texture. It turned out better than I expected.

M
Megan Gray

I wasn't expecting to love it this much! The shape is unique and really pretty.

L
Laura Roberts

This sconce is exactly what I wanted. The design feels modern and elegant. Definitely a great choice.

A
Abigail Morales

This is such a beautiful piece. It looks classy without being too fancy.
