Where does this lamp work best?
At ∅ 15″ × H 21.7″ the Oakes is a versatile accent lamp for a console or entry table, a nightstand, a desk or a living-room side table. It gives warm, ambient light rather than task brightness — ideal for Japandi, rustic modern and contemporary rooms.
What bulbs do you recommend?
Use an E26/E27 LED bulb at 6–9W in warm white (2700 K); the white drum shade diffuses it into a soft ambient glow. The lamp uses a push-button switch and is not dimmable, so choose a bulb brightness you are happy with at full output. Bulbs are not included. E26 vs E27 guide →
Is the lamp dimmable?
No. The Oakes uses a simple push-button switch and is not dimmable, and pairing it with a wall or plug dimmer is not recommended. If you want an adjustable level, use a warm-white LED bulb at a brightness that suits the room at full output.
How do I clean the wood and shade?
Dust the fabric drum shade with a soft brush or a vacuum brush attachment on low. Wipe the wooden base with a soft, dry or barely-damp cloth and dry it right away — wood is porous, so avoid soaking it or using solvents. Switch off and unplug before cleaning.
