Is the Cairns made from real travertine stone?

Yes — the Cairns is sculpted from genuine travertine stone, paired with a natural wood base. Because each piece is carved from real stone, every fixture has its own pattern of mineral veining, subtle color variation, and small surface pores. These are signatures of authentic travertine and not manufacturing defects.

The natural variations mean no two Cairns lights are exactly alike — each is a unique sculptural piece.

Does the Cairns Ceiling Light need a separate bulb?

No — the Cairns uses an integrated LED that's built into the fixture. There's no bulb to purchase or replace. The LED runs at approximately 7 W on AC 110–240 V, compatible globally.

How is the Cairns Ceiling Light installed?

The Cairns is ceiling-mounted via a standard junction box and connects to a common wall switch (not included). Because of the natural stone construction, we recommend two people for installation — travertine adds weight compared to typical metal/plastic fixtures.

What is the return and exchange policy?

Dekorfine offers a 30-day return policy on undamaged items in their original packaging. Because the Cairns is sculpted from natural travertine stone, slight variations in veining, color, and texture are part of the material's authentic character — these are not eligible for return as defects.

This policy applies to all lighting fixtures sold on dekorfine.com worldwide. You have 30 calendar days from receiving your item to request a return — the terms below keep every case fair for both sides.

The 30-Day
Window

Thirty days, simply stated.

You have 30 calendar days from the delivery date — verified by carrier tracking — to request a return or exchange. Items must be unused, with original tags and packaging, and accompanied by a receipt or proof of purchase.

Who pays return shipping

Quality or transport issue — we cover free return and exchange, including shipping.
Personal preference — if the fixture simply isn't right for you, return shipping is your responsibility. Rates vary by carrier.

Common consumer reasons: the product didn't meet expectations, sizing concerns, color preferences, change of mind, wrong item or quantity ordered, or overlooked product specifications.

Please inspect your order on arrival. If anything is defective, damaged, or incorrect, contact support@dekorfine.com immediately so we can make it right.

What qualifies for a full refund.

Eligible — we cover 100% of costs

Product damaged due to quality defects or transit.
Unused items returned within the 30-day window.
Any item returned to sender undelivered.
Any item not delivered within 90 days.

Not eligible for return or exchange

Items returned outside the 30-day window.
Orders or items valued at $5,000 or more.
Bespoke, custom, or special-order products made to your specifications.
Light bulbs.
Products not in original condition or packaging.
Bulk orders — three or more of the same product. For large orders we recommend purchasing a single item first to confirm fit.

For items not eligible for refund, customers are responsible for return shipping. Shipping charges are non-refundable.

Cancellation
& EU Terms

Canceling an order.

Cancellations are possible within 3 days of order confirmation. Once this window closes, if the order hasn't shipped yet, contact us — we may still be able to help. Once the package is in transit, orders cannot be canceled.

If you insist on canceling after shipment, a 30%–50% fee (warehousing, order processing, and shipping costs) will be deducted from your refund. Please review your order carefully before confirming.

European Union — 14-day cooling-off

Orders shipped to the EU may be canceled or returned within 14 days for any reason, without justification. The item must still be unused, with original tags and packaging, and accompanied by proof of purchase.

We confirm the refund amount based on your reason and the items in your order.
We provide the return address and shipment labeling instructions. Refunds require these instructions to be followed.
You ship at your own cost. We do not cover return shipping or supply prepaid labels. Please include your order confirmation email inside the package.
Notify us by email once shipped, and share the tracking number if available.
We process your return within 3–5 business days of receipt.

Exchanges

The fastest way to get the item you want is to return the original, and once the return is accepted, place a separate order for the replacement.

Refund
Timing

Refunds, honestly timed.

Once we've received and inspected your return, we'll notify you whether the refund is approved. If approved, funds return automatically to your original payment method within 10 business days.

Bear in mind that your bank or card issuer may need additional time to process and post the refund on their end.

Travertine is a masterpiece nature has been shaping for thousands of years — every block carrying its own pores, its own flowing veins, its own quiet record of time. We select only the finest natural stone and leave its raw, breathing character intact. What arrives at your door isn't lighting. It's a living stone sculpture, warmed from within.

The Material

A stone that remembers.

Travertine isn't made — it's gathered. Layer by layer, across thousands of years, minerals settle in warm underground springs and leave behind this porous, honey-toned stone. It built Roman baths. It lined the floor of Saint Peter's Basilica. Of all the materials we work with, it's the one that grows more beautiful with time.

We source ours from the most expressive Mediterranean quarries — then shape it, slowly and by hand, into lighting.

Every lamp takes days — not minutes — from raw block to finished fixture. Three stages, each done by hand.

Sourcing
We hand-select only the most expressive travertine from Mediterranean quarries — grading each block for veining, density, and character before it enters the workshop.

Hand-Shaping
Master craftsmen cut and turn the stone patiently, hollowing it thin enough for light to pass through and polishing just enough to reveal the veining — never enough to erase the pores.

Assembly & Inspection
Electrical components are set inside the finished body. Every fixture is wired, lit, and inspected — when a piece falls short of our standard, it stays in the workshop.

There's no outsourced factory in a different country, and no logo swapped onto someone else's work. Every travertine fixture is cut, shaped, wired, and inspected in our own workshop — under one roof, by the same hands, week after week.
