This light is perfect for when the connection point isn't directly centered over where the light needs to be. The swing arm is unobtrusive. It puts out a soft, directed light, like a spotlight. The excess cord looks a bit odd if you need it to close to the ceiling. If you have some wiring skills you can easily cut out the excess cord and reattach.

My biggest pet peeve with pendants is when you see the bare bulb from the side. This mid-century louver layout cuts out the harshness entirely. It creates this beautiful, low-profile amber mood light layered with soft shadows.
