Starting with a compatible ceiling.

First, confirm your ceiling can carry the fixture safely. An improper foundation is a genuine safety risk — the three conditions below are non-negotiable.

• Load-bearing capacity — the mounting point must support a minimum load of 50 kg (110 lbs).
• Ceiling surface — the ceiling should be flat and firm. For irregular surfaces (concave or domed), all height measurements must be taken from the ceiling's lowest point.
• Sloped ceilings — standard installation suits inclines of up to 30°. Slopes greater than 30° require a custom hook so the fan hangs level.
