The story

Three materials, three traditions.

The Florentine draws from the mid-century Italian reading-lamp tradition — a quiet category where master craftsmen paired furniture-grade hardwood with brass mechanical hardware and hand-finished fabric to make small functional objects of real beauty. Here, that vocabulary is reset for the modern home.

The turned rubberwood column brings warm furniture grain. The polished brass gooseneck bends to wherever you want light — over an open book, across a side table, into a darker corner. And the scalloped fabric shade is finished along its lower edge with a fine crochet-trim border, a small handmade detail that softens the otherwise precise silhouette. Where does the Florentine work best?

The Florentine is purpose-built as a directional reading lamp — the gooseneck arm tilts the shade exactly where you want light. Best in spots where you'll actually use that adjustability:

Beside a reading chair (tilt over an open book) · at the bedside (tilt away when sleeping) · at a desk corner (angle toward the work surface) · in a living-room reading nook (direct light without flooding the whole room).

At H 157 cm, the shade sits at roughly seated-shoulder height when you're in an armchair — exactly the right elevation for reading without glare.

How adjustable is the gooseneck arm?

The brass gooseneck flexes by hand, holding any position you bend it to. Adjust the tilt and reach to point the shade up, down, forward, or sideways — perfect for redirecting light over an open book or away from a sleeping partner. No tools, no buttons, just bend and stay.

Is the crochet trim hand-finished?

Yes — the scalloped lower edge of the shade is finished with a fine crochet-trim border applied as a separate handmade detail. Slight variation in stitch count, scallop depth, or trim alignment between pieces is part of the handmade character. The pleated body of the shade is also tensioned over a metal frame and may show subtle differences in pleat depth from one lamp to the next.

How is it controlled — and is it dimmable?

Foot-switch on/off located on the cord — toe-tap to turn on or off without bending down. The lamp ships with a 150 cm / 59″ cord and switch plug ready to plug into a standard outlet (no electrician needed).

The lamp itself is not dimmable. For ambiance control, use a dimmable smart bulb (E26/E27, Wi-Fi or Bluetooth) and adjust brightness via phone app or voice assistant.

This policy applies to all lighting fixtures sold on dekorfine.com worldwide. You have 30 calendar days from receiving your item to request a return — the terms below keep every case fair for both sides.

The 30-Day
Window

Thirty days, simply stated.

You have 30 calendar days from the delivery date — verified by carrier tracking — to request a return or exchange. Items must be unused, with original tags and packaging, and accompanied by a receipt or proof of purchase.

Who pays return shipping

Quality or transport issue — we cover free return and exchange, including shipping.
Personal preference — if the fixture simply isn't right for you, return shipping is your responsibility. Rates vary by carrier.

Common consumer reasons: the product didn't meet expectations, sizing concerns, color preferences, change of mind, wrong item or quantity ordered, or overlooked product specifications.

Please inspect your order on arrival. If anything is defective, damaged, or incorrect, contact support@dekorfine.com immediately so we can make it right.

Refund
Eligibility

What qualifies for a full refund.

Eligible — we cover 100% of costs

Product damaged due to quality defects or transit.
Unused items returned within the 30-day window.
Any item returned to sender undelivered.
Any item not delivered within 90 days.

Not eligible for return or exchange

Items returned outside the 30-day window.
Orders or items valued at $5,000 or more.
Bespoke, custom, or special-order products made to your specifications.
Light bulbs.
Products not in original condition or packaging.
Bulk orders — three or more of the same product. For large orders we recommend purchasing a single item first to confirm fit.

For items not eligible for refund, customers are responsible for return shipping. Shipping charges are non-refundable.

Cancellation
& EU Terms

Canceling an order.

Cancellations are possible within 3 days of order confirmation. Once this window closes, if the order hasn't shipped yet, contact us — we may still be able to help. Once the package is in transit, orders cannot be canceled.

If you insist on canceling after shipment, a 30%–50% fee (warehousing, order processing, and shipping costs) will be deducted from your refund. Please review your order carefully before confirming.

European Union — 14-day cooling-off

Orders shipped to the EU may be canceled or returned within 14 days for any reason, without justification. The item must still be unused, with original tags and packaging, and accompanied by proof of purchase.

Submit an inquiry to support@dekorfine.com including your reason for return.
We confirm the refund amount based on your reason and the items in your order.
We provide the return address and shipment labeling instructions. Refunds require these instructions to be followed.
You ship at your own cost. We do not cover return shipping or supply prepaid labels. Please include your order confirmation email inside the package.
Notify us by email once shipped, and share the tracking number if available.
We process your return within 3–5 business days of receipt.

Exchanges

The fastest way to get the item you want is to return the original, and once the return is accepted, place a separate order for the replacement.

Refund
Timing

Refunds, honestly timed.

Once we've received and inspected your return, we'll notify you whether the refund is approved. If approved, funds return automatically to your original payment method within 10 business days.

Bear in mind that your bank or card issuer may need additional time to process and post the refund on their end.

If more than 15 business days have passed since your return was approved and the refund hasn't arrived, please write to support@dekorfine.com and we'll look into it.
