What size room does this suit?
At ∅ 5.9″ (15 cm) the Morup is a small, jewel-like flush mount for compact low-ceiling spaces — a charming accent for a powder room, small entryway, hallway or boutique bedroom. Its floral alabaster form reads as a delicate centrepiece rather than a primary room light.
What bulbs do you recommend?
This fixture takes E26/E27 bulbs. Use an E26/E27 LED bulb at about 6–9W in warm white (2700 K); warm light glows through the carved alabaster and highlights its organic mineral veining. Bulbs are not included. E26 vs E27 guide →
Is each alabaster piece unique?
Yes. Alabaster is a natural stone, so the veining and translucency vary from piece to piece — no two are identical, and that variation is part of the material, not a defect. When lit, the stone glows with soft, warm variation that brings out the floral form.
How do I clean the alabaster and brass?
Switch off and let it cool, then dust with a soft, dry microfiber cloth. Alabaster is porous — never use water, solvents or abrasive cleaners on the stone; a dry cloth only. Wipe the brass gently with the dry cloth as well, keeping liquid off the finish.

Alabaster is a mineral first worked by the Egyptians and Greeks — prized then, as now, for its translucency and quiet grain. Each of our fixtures begins as a block of raw stone and ends in a fixture that glows as if lit from inside the earth itself.
A material that changes a room.
Synthetic shades mimic the look. Alabaster is the look. Semi-translucent, naturally warm, and quietly alive — it softens the light passing through it and fills a space with the kind of glow that makes people slow down.
To work with alabaster is to follow the stone — not force it. Each block tells the carver where the light wants to go.
Four steps from
quarry to fixture.
Every alabaster piece passes through the same four hands — cutting, shaping, drilling, finishing. What arrives at your door carries the trace of all of them.
Cutting
Raw blocks are scored and cut on precision stone saws — every dimension traced from the original design, every grain of the stone respected.
Shaping
Complex curves are turned on lathes and carved by hand. Each fixture's silhouette is coaxed from the stone rather than imposed on it.
Drilling
Concealed channels are drilled for wiring and concealed hardware — invisible in the finished piece, but critical to the clean line.
Finishing
Polished to a soft lustre or honed to matte — whichever brings the stone's veining forward without overpowering it.
