What shapes does the Nelson Wall Lamp come in?

The Nelson is available in four signature shapes, all sharing the same polymer shade, steel-wire frame, and walnut backplate:

Capsule at ∅ 11″ × H 15.8″ (28 × 40 cm) — the tallest, with an elongated vertical silhouette best for narrow wall spaces. Pear at ∅ 11.8″ × H 11.8″ (30 × 30 cm) — a softly curved teardrop form. Ball at ∅ 11.8″ × H 11″ (30 × 28 cm) — a round, balanced sphere. Saucer at ∅ 15.8″ × H 8.7″ (40 × 22 cm) — the widest and shallowest, with a flattened disc profile for low-ceiling spaces.

Each shape diffuses the light slightly differently — Capsule and Pear cast a vertical glow, Ball is even all around, and Saucer spreads light horizontally.

Does the Nelson Wall Lamp need to be hardwired?

No — the Nelson is a plug-in wall lamp. It ships with a 150 cm / 59″ cord and a switch plug at the end, so you simply mount it to your wall and plug it into a nearby outlet. No junction box, no in-wall wiring, no electrician needed.

The cord can be extended on request — contact us before ordering if your outlet is more than 150 cm from the mount point.

What is the Nelson Wall Lamp made of?

The Nelson is built from three materials, in the spirit of George Nelson's original mid-century designs: a polymer-coated shade that softly diffuses the light, a slim steel-wire internal frame that holds the shape, and a walnut backplate that anchors the lamp to the wall and adds a warm wood accent against the white shade.

What kind of bulb does the Nelson use?

The Nelson uses a standard E26 or E27 screw-base bulb (LED or Edison bulb supported). Use E26 in North America and E27 in Europe, the UK, and most other regions. Bulbs are not included.

Because the polymer shade is naturally diffusing, we recommend warm-white LED bulbs (2700–3000K) for a soft, even glow. The cord switch is on/off only — not dimmable — so for adjustable brightness, pair with a third-party plug-in dimmer adapter.

What is the return and exchange policy?

Dekorfine offers a 30-day return policy on undamaged items in their original packaging. Because the walnut backplate is real wood, slight grain and tonal variations are part of its natural character — not defects.

Refund & Exchange, considered with care.

This policy applies to all lighting fixtures sold on dekorfine.com worldwide. You have 30 calendar days from receiving your item to request a return — the terms below keep every case fair for both sides.

The 30-Day
Window

Thirty days, simply stated.

You have 30 calendar days from the delivery date — verified by carrier tracking — to request a return or exchange. Items must be unused, with original tags and packaging, and accompanied by a receipt or proof of purchase.

Who pays return shipping

Quality or transport issue — we cover free return and exchange, including shipping.
Personal preference — if the fixture simply isn't right for you, return shipping is your responsibility. Rates vary by carrier.

Common consumer reasons: the product didn't meet expectations, sizing concerns, color preferences, change of mind, wrong item or quantity ordered, or overlooked product specifications.

Please inspect your order on arrival. If anything is defective, damaged, or incorrect, contact support@dekorfine.com immediately so we can make it right.

Eligibility

What qualifies for a full refund.

Eligible — we cover 100% of costs

Product damaged due to quality defects or transit.
Unused items returned within the 30-day window.
Any item returned to sender undelivered.
Any item not delivered within 90 days.

Not eligible for return or exchange

Items returned outside the 30-day window.
Orders or items valued at $5,000 or more.
Bespoke, custom, or special-order products made to your specifications.
Light bulbs.
Products not in original condition or packaging.
Bulk orders — three or more of the same product. For large orders we recommend purchasing a single item first to confirm fit.

For items not eligible for refund, customers are responsible for return shipping. Shipping charges are non-refundable.

Cancellation
& EU Terms

Canceling an order.

Cancellations are possible within 3 days of order confirmation. Once this window closes, if the order hasn't shipped yet, contact us — we may still be able to help. Once the package is in transit, orders cannot be canceled.

If you insist on canceling after shipment, a 30%–50% fee (warehousing, order processing, and shipping costs) will be deducted from your refund. Please review your order carefully before confirming.

European Union — 14-day cooling-off

Orders shipped to the EU may be canceled or returned within 14 days for any reason, without justification. The item must still be unused, with original tags and packaging, and accompanied by proof of purchase.

Submit an inquiry to support@dekorfine.com including your reason for return.
We confirm the refund amount based on your reason and the items in your order.
We provide the return address and shipment labeling instructions. Refunds require these instructions to be followed.
You ship at your own cost. We do not cover return shipping or supply prepaid labels. Please include your order confirmation email inside the package.
Notify us by email once shipped, and share the tracking number if available.
We process your return within 3–5 business days of receipt.

Exchanges

The fastest way to get the item you want is to return the original, and once the return is accepted, place a separate order for the replacement.

Refund
Timing

Refunds, honestly timed.

Once we've received and inspected your return, we'll notify you whether the refund is approved. If approved, funds return automatically to your original payment method within 10 business days.

Bear in mind that your bank or card issuer may need additional time to process and post the refund on their end.

If more than 15 business days have passed since your return was approved and the refund hasn't arrived, please write to support@dekorfine.com and we'll look into it.
