My inspiration wasn't grand; it came from a very ordinary scene: I was watching a willow tree swaying in the wind outdoors. Its branches, soft yet resilient, had lines that were free, constantly changing, yet maintaining an overall harmony and vitality. In that moment, I thought: What if light could flow like this, so softly "tamed" and "shaped"?

✨Chasing the "Bendable Light"

I discarded heavy lampshades and complex structures, retaining only the purest elements: line and light. I spent countless days and nights researching materials, hoping to find a carrier that could both host the LED strip and be soft, tough, and moldable. The process felt like chasing a "bendable light." I wanted it to be like a brush, freely sweeping across the air without breaking or losing its luminescence.

Ultimately, we succeeded. The core of the Flex LED Pendant Light is that pure, refined line I extracted. It is not loud or complex; it simply awaits being brought to life.

🧪 Material Revealed: Why I Chose Silicone?

Honestly, when I was first designing the Flex lamp, I knew regular materials just wouldn't cut it. Think about it: I needed the light to bend like spaghetti, but the LED strip inside couldn't break, and the light itself had to be soft, not glaring.

That's why I eventually chose high-performance silicone. It's basically tailor-made for this design: it's super soft and incredibly elastic, letting you bend and reshape it over and over without damaging the internal components. At the same time, it acts like a natural "beauty filter" for the light, perfectly diffusing the harsh LED dots into a continuous, warm, and comfortable "light strip." Crucially, it's also heat-resistant, safe, and easy to wipe clean, ensuring the lamp lasts long and looks great. Simply put, silicone was the only key that could unlock both my "flexibility" design and the perfect "soft light effect."
