At ∅ 9.1″ × H 11″ the Fairmont is a compact sconce that suits bedsides, hallways, reading corners and either side of a mirror or console. Its linen, wood and whipstitch details suit mid-century modern, organic modern and warm transitional rooms – and it pairs naturally with the Fairmont Table Lamp for a coordinated look.

For general use, mount the center of the shade around eye level, roughly 150–165 cm / 59–65″ from the floor. As a bedside light, place it so the shade sits about 15–25 cm / 6–10″ above the top of the mattress. It is hardwired to a standard wall junction box and controlled by an external wall switch (not included). We recommend installation by a licensed electrician.

This sconce takes an E14 or E12 bulb. Use an LED candle bulb at about 4–5W in warm white (2700 K) – the cream linen softens it into a warm glow that flatters the wood stem. Bulbs are not included. E12 vs E14 guide →

Dust the linen shade with a soft brush or a vacuum brush attachment on low; spot-clean a mark with a barely-damp cloth, keeping moisture away from the whipstitching, and let it air-dry. Wipe the wood stem and backplate with a soft, dry cloth and avoid polishes and abrasive cleaners. Switch off and let the bulb cool first.
