Where does this chandelier work best?
At ∅ 23.6″ × H 12.4″, the Samara suits dining tables of about 48–60″, living rooms, primary bedrooms and entryways. Its warm amber shell discs bring a relaxed, coastal-meets-organic-modern feel to both beach houses and city homes.
How high should I hang it?
Over a dining table, hang the bottom of the chandelier about 30–36″ (76–91 cm) above the tabletop; in foyers and walkways, keep at least 7 ft (213 cm) of clearance beneath it. It comes with a 50 cm / 19.7″ hanging chain – contact us if you need a different length to suit your ceiling. It is hardwired to a standard ceiling junction box and controlled by a common wall switch (not included). We recommend installation by a licensed electrician.
What bulbs do you recommend?
This chandelier takes six E14 or E12 bulbs. Use small LED candle or globe bulbs at about 3–4W each in warm white (2700 K); LEDs stay cool next to the shell discs, and warm light brings out their amber tones. Bulbs are not included. E12 vs E14 guide →
How do I clean the shell discs?
Dust the shell discs gently with a soft, dry brush, a feather duster or a hair dryer on the cool setting; never use water, sprays or cleaning products, which can dull or stain natural shell. Handle the discs with care, as shell is delicate. Switch off at the wall and let the bulbs cool first.
