The Mono pulls from a deeply minimalist design vocabulary — three forms, three materials, no decoration. The smooth metal stem arcs gracefully from the base to the shade like a quiet gesture. The natural cavestone marble base grounds the sculpture with both visual and physical weight, providing the heft that lets a slim arch feel substantial rather than precarious. The whole composition reads as a single confident line — sculptural, restrained, and unmistakably modern.

The marble base is natural cavestone.

The base is crafted from natural cavestone — an unfilled, unpolished travertine-family stone formed in mineral spring deposits over millennia. Each piece is cut from a unique block, so the veining pattern, surface texture, micro-pitting, and tonal variation will differ from unit to unit.

These differences are characteristic features of the natural material, not defects. Your base will share the overall color tone (Black or Beige) and form shown in product photos, but the specific stone "fingerprint" will be unique to your piece.

What is cavestone, and why does each base look slightly different?

Cavestone is an unfilled, unpolished stone in the travertine family — formed when calcium carbonate precipitates from mineral springs over thousands of years. Unlike polished marble, cavestone retains its natural surface character: fine pitting, mineral veining, and subtle tonal banding are characteristic features rather than processing defects.

Because each base is cut from a unique block, your unit's exact veining pattern, micro-pit distribution, and tonal variation will differ from the photos. The overall color tone (Black or Beige) and form will match — only the natural "fingerprint" of the stone is unique to your piece.

Treat any small variation as part of the material's value, the same way you'd treat the unique grain of a wood floor or the patina of leather.

How is the lamp assembled?

The Mono ships in three components: the cavestone base, the arched metal stem (with internal wiring), and the conical shade with G9 socket. Assembly is straightforward — connect the stem into the threaded fitting in the base, attach the shade to the top of the stem, then add a G9 bulb (not included).

What kind of bulb does it use, and is it dimmable?

One G9 bi-pin bulb (LED or halogen; not included). G9 is a small two-pin base — recommend warm-white G9 LED at 2700K, around 3-4W, for an even, flattering glow.

The lamp is not dimmable — the inline push-button switch is on/off only. For adjustable brightness, use a smart plug with built-in dimming between the cord and outlet, or choose a smart G9 bulb with phone-app control.

How do I care for the cavestone base?

Cavestone is durable but should be cared for like any natural stone:

Dust regularly with a soft dry cloth or soft brush.
Spot-clean any marks with a slightly damp cloth — avoid soaking the stone.
Avoid acidic cleaners (vinegar, lemon, citrus-based products) which can etch the surface.
Wipe up spills promptly — natural stone is porous and may stain if liquids are left to sit (especially the Beige finish with wine, coffee, or oil).
Use felt pads on the underside of the base to protect the surface beneath.

Where does the Mono work best?

The Mono's monochrome arch-and-stone silhouette pairs effortlessly with contemporary, modern luxe, minimalist, Scandi, Japandi, architectural-modern, and Hollywood Regency interiors. Best placements: desks, console tables in entryways, bedside tables (substantial nightstand recommended given the base weight), reading nook side tables, and credenzas in studies.

The Black finish reads more architectural and graphic — best against cream walls and warm wood. The Beige finish reads softer and more organic — pairs especially well with travertine, oak, leather, and warm-neutral palettes.

What is the return and exchange policy?

Dekorfine offers a 30-day return policy on undamaged items in their original packaging. Because the cavestone marble base is a natural material, slight variations in veining, pitting, surface texture, and tone between units are part of authentic stone character — not defects, and not eligible for return.

This policy applies to all lighting fixtures sold on dekorfine.com worldwide. You have 30 calendar days from receiving your item to request a return — the terms below keep every case fair for both sides.

Thirty days, simply stated.

You have 30 calendar days from the delivery date — verified by carrier tracking — to request a return or exchange. Items must be unused, with original tags and packaging, and accompanied by a receipt or proof of purchase.

Who pays return shipping

Quality or transport issue — we cover free return and exchange, including shipping.
Personal preference — if the fixture simply isn't right for you, return shipping is your responsibility. Rates vary by carrier.

Common consumer reasons: the product didn't meet expectations, sizing concerns, color preferences, change of mind, wrong item or quantity ordered, or overlooked product specifications.

Please inspect your order on arrival. If anything is defective, damaged, or incorrect, contact support@dekorfine.com immediately so we can make it right.

Product damaged due to quality defects or transit.
Unused items returned within the 30-day window.
Any item returned to sender undelivered.
Any item not delivered within 90 days.

Not eligible for return or exchange

Items returned outside the 30-day window.
Orders or items valued at $5,000 or more.
Bespoke, custom, or special-order products made to your specifications.
Light bulbs.
Products not in original condition or packaging.
Bulk orders — three or more of the same product. For large orders we recommend purchasing a single item first to confirm fit.

For items not eligible for refund, customers are responsible for return shipping. Shipping charges are non-refundable.

Cancellation
& EU Terms

Canceling an order.

Cancellations are possible within 3 days of order confirmation. Once this window closes, if the order hasn't shipped yet, contact us — we may still be able to help. Once the package is in transit, orders cannot be canceled.

If you insist on canceling after shipment, a 30%–50% fee (warehousing, order processing, and shipping costs) will be deducted from your refund. Please review your order carefully before confirming.

European Union — 14-day cooling-off

Orders shipped to the EU may be canceled or returned within 14 days for any reason, without justification. The item must still be unused, with original tags and packaging, and accompanied by proof of purchase.

We confirm the refund amount based on your reason and the items in your order.
We provide the return address and shipment labeling instructions. Refunds require these instructions to be followed.
You ship at your own cost. We do not cover return shipping or supply prepaid labels. Please include your order confirmation email inside the package.
Notify us by email once shipped, and share the tracking number if available.
We process your return within 3–5 business days of receipt.

Exchanges

The fastest way to get the item you want is to return the original, and once the return is accepted, place a separate order for the replacement.

Refund
Timing

Refunds, honestly timed.

Once we've received and inspected your return, we'll notify you whether the refund is approved. If approved, funds return automatically to your original payment method within 10 business days.

Bear in mind that your bank or card issuer may need additional time to process and post the refund on their end.
