The Rice Paper lights are handcrafted of translucent washi paper that is made from the inner bark of the mulberry tree. Designer has compared the light of Rice Paper to sunlight filtered through traditional paper doors – the light sculptures create a warm glow and pleasant ambience.

Refund & Exchange, considered with care.

This policy applies to all lighting fixtures sold on dekorfine.com worldwide. You have 30 calendar days from receiving your item to request a return — the terms below keep every case fair for both sides.

The 30-Day
Window

Thirty days, simply stated.

You have 30 calendar days from the delivery date — verified by carrier tracking — to request a return or exchange. Items must be unused, with original tags and packaging, and accompanied by a receipt or proof of purchase.

Who pays return shipping

Quality or transport issue — we cover free return and exchange, including shipping.
Personal preference — if the fixture simply isn't right for you, return shipping is your responsibility. Rates vary by carrier.

Common consumer reasons: the product didn't meet expectations, sizing concerns, color preferences, change of mind, wrong item or quantity ordered, or overlooked product specifications.

Please inspect your order on arrival. If anything is defective, damaged, or incorrect, contact support@dekorfine.com immediately so we can make it right.

Refund
Eligibility

What qualifies for a full refund.

Eligible — we cover 100% of costs

Product damaged due to quality defects or transit.
Unused items returned within the 30-day window.
Any item returned to sender undelivered.
Any item not delivered within 90 days.

Not eligible for return or exchange

Items returned outside the 30-day window.
Orders or items valued at $5,000 or more.
Bespoke, custom, or special-order products made to your specifications.
Light bulbs.
Products not in original condition or packaging.
Bulk orders — three or more of the same product. For large orders we recommend purchasing a single item first to confirm fit.

For items not eligible for refund, customers are responsible for return shipping. Shipping charges are non-refundable.

Cancellation
& EU Terms

Canceling an order.

Cancellations are possible within 3 days of order confirmation. Once this window closes, if the order hasn't shipped yet, contact us — we may still be able to help. Once the package is in transit, orders cannot be canceled.

If you insist on canceling after shipment, a 30%–50% fee (warehousing, order processing, and shipping costs) will be deducted from your refund. Please review your order carefully before confirming.

European Union — 14-day cooling-off

Orders shipped to the EU may be canceled or returned within 14 days for any reason, without justification. The item must still be unused, with original tags and packaging, and accompanied by proof of purchase.

How to return an item.

Seven steps, in order. Please follow each carefully — deviations may delay or affect your refund.

Review this policy to confirm your order qualifies for a return or refund.
Submit an inquiry to support@dekorfine.com including your reason for return.
We confirm the refund amount based on your reason and the items in your order.
We provide the return address and shipment labeling instructions. Refunds require these instructions to be followed.
You ship at your own cost. We do not cover return shipping or supply prepaid labels. Please include your order confirmation email inside the package.
Notify us by email once shipped, and share the tracking number if available.
We process your return within 3–5 business days of receipt.

Exchanges

The fastest way to get the item you want is to return the original, and once the return is accepted, place a separate order for the replacement.

Refund
Timing

Refunds, honestly timed.

Once we've received and inspected your return, we'll notify you whether the refund is approved. If approved, funds return automatically to your original payment method within 10 business days.

Bear in mind that your bank or card issuer may need additional time to process and post the refund on their end.

If more than 15 business days have passed since your return was approved and the refund hasn't arrived, please write to support@dekorfine.com and we'll look into it.

Do I need a wall outlet near the hanging spot?

Yes — a swag light draws power from a standard wall outlet. The 180″ cord (15 ft) gives you ample reach across most rooms, but plan the layout so the cord can drape from the ceiling hooks toward the nearest socket without crossing high-traffic walkways.

How long is the cord, and can I shorten it?

All Dekorfine swag lights ship with a 180-inch (15 ft) cord as standard. The visible drape can be adjusted by where you place the hooks; excess cord can be discreetly tucked or coiled at the wall. For custom lengths, contact our customer service team.

Can I use a swag light with a dimmer?

Yes. Most Dekorfine swag lights accept standard E26/E27 dimmable bulbs and are compatible with plug-in dimmer switches. For a fully integrated solution, ask our team about smart-bulb compatibility per fixture.

Will the cord damage my walls or ceiling?

Installation requires two small drywall anchors for the ceiling hooks — the same kind used for hanging artwork. When removed, the marks can be patched and painted in minutes. Renter-friendly by design.

What rooms work best for a swag light?

Anywhere a hardwired pendant would feel right but isn't possible: above a bedside, a reading chair, a small dining nook, a desk corner, or a child's room where you might want to relocate the fixture later. Especially useful in rentals and older homes without ceiling boxes.
