What bulb type and wattage works best for the fluted beige shade?
For the warmest, most flattering glow through the beige fabric shade, a 2700 K Edison-style filament LED (E26 for US, E27 for EU/AU) in the 4–8W range is ideal — warm enough to read as candlelight and bright enough for bedside reading without overwhelming the shade. Bulbs are not included and are available at any hardware or lighting retailer.
What is the USB cable for, and how is it used?
The USB cable included with the lamp allows you to charge devices — phone, earbuds, or a small tablet — directly from the lamp base without needing a separate wall adapter. It is a practical modern addition to a vintage-aesthetic lamp, keeping your nightstand or console tidy. Can the fluted shade be removed or replaced?
Yes — the shade attaches to the base independently. The Shade Installation Video (linked in the downloads section) shows the full attachment process step by step. If you need a replacement shade, contact us and we will advise on availability.
Is the Vintage Fluted Table Lamp compatible with a dimmer?
The lamp uses a push button cord switch and is not dimmable in its standard configuration. For adjustable brightness, a smart E26 / E27 LED bulb with its own app or remote control works within the existing socket without any rewiring — a practical solution for a bedroom nightstand lamp.
How do I clean the beige fluted fabric shade?
For regular maintenance, use a soft dry brush or low-suction vacuum with a brush attachment to remove dust from the folds — work top to bottom, following each pleat. Avoid water or liquid cleaners on the fabric shade, as moisture can distort the structured folds. For the wood base, a dry or barely damp cloth works well.
