GX53 is a flat twist-lock LED puck-base — about 53 mm wide and roughly 25-32 mm thick — designed specifically for ultra-slim ceiling lights and under-cabinet fixtures. It's the reason the Loris can sit just 8-10 cm deep into the ceiling: a traditional E26/E27 socket would force a much taller body.

GX53 bulbs are LED only (no incandescent or halogen exists in this format) and are widely sold under that exact name on Amazon, Home Depot, IKEA, lighting retailers, and electrical-supply stores. Look for GX53 LED 5-9W warm white (2700K) or neutral white (4000K) depending on your room's mood. Bulbs are not included with the lamp.

Pick the size that matches both the visual scale and the light output your room needs:

Dia 15 cm · 1 GX53: single-petal scale — accent or task lighting in hallways, powder rooms, small bedrooms, or as a series of repeats along a long corridor.
Dia 25 cm · 2 GX53: two-petal scale — entryways, standard bedrooms, breakfast nooks, smaller kitchens.
Dia 27 cm · 3 GX53: full trefoil — living rooms, dining areas, open-plan rooms where the silhouette becomes a sculptural focal point.

Because the depth is only 8-10 cm, all three sizes work well in standard 240 cm (8 ft) ceilings without crowding head clearance.

The Loris is cast from high-quality resin pigmented and veined to read like real marble or natural stone. Resin offers two practical advantages over real marble: it's significantly lighter (easier to ceiling-mount safely) and not brittle at thin profiles (so the 8-10 cm depth is achievable without risk of cracking).

Each unit is finished individually, so vein patterns and color depth vary slightly between fixtures — that's part of the marble-like character, not a defect.

Walnut color: warm honey-brown veined resin. Best with wood-toned floors, brass or warm-metal accents, terracotta or earth-toned palettes, and warm-white walls. Reads as warm-classic, mid-century, biophilic.

Grey: cool stone-veined resin. Best with white or off-white walls, cool-metal accents (chrome, nickel, brushed steel), and minimalist palettes. Reads as contemporary modern, Scandi, urban-minimalist.

The Loris is a flush-mount ceiling fixture — it mounts directly to a standard ceiling junction box and connects to a common wall switch (not included). Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician unless you're experienced with line-voltage wiring.

The shallow 8-10 cm profile means the fixture sits close to the ceiling — ideal for standard 240 cm (8 ft) ceilings where pendant clearance would be tight.

The fixture itself has no built-in dimmer. Dimmable when paired with dimmable GX53 LED bulbs + a LED-rated wall dimmer. Confirm the dimmer is rated for low-wattage LED loads — many older incandescent dimmers don't dim LEDs smoothly.
