The story

Northern Thai tassel craft.

The Lanna takes its name from the Lanna Kingdom of Northern Thailand — a region historically known for textile weaving, silver craft, and elaborate tassel and fringe ornaments on temple banners, ceremonial dress, and household textiles. The lamp translates that craft sensibility into a contemporary form: a polished brass base and stem support a red fabric drum shade, with rows of decorative tassels hanging from the lower rim like a quiet textile flourish. Light passes through the fabric as a warm, ambient red-amber glow.

What does "Lanna" refer to?

Lanna ("Land of a Million Rice Fields") was a kingdom that ruled Northern Thailand from the late 13th to the 18th centuries, centered on present-day Chiang Mai. The region remains historically known for its textile weaving, silver craft, lacquerware, and ornamental tassel and fringe details — used on temple banners, ceremonial dress, and household textiles.

The Lanna lamp draws on that craft heritage as a quiet inspiration — rows of decorative fabric tassels hang from the lower rim of the drum shade, like the textile flourishes you'd see on a traditional Lanna banner.

What kind of bulb does it use, and is it dimmable?

One E26 / E27 screw-base bulb (LED or Edison; not included). E26 in North America, E27 in Europe. Warm-white LED at 2700K is recommended — passes through the red fabric shade as a flattering amber-red glow.

The lamp is not dimmable — the inline push-button switch is on/off only. For adjustable brightness, use a smart plug with built-in dimming between the cord and outlet, or choose a smart bulb with phone-app control.

How are the tassels attached, and can they be removed?

The decorative tassels are permanently attached to the lower rim of the fabric drum shade — sewn directly along a continuous trim band. They are not designed to be removed, since the tassel detail is what gives the lamp its signature character.

To clean, use a soft brush or low-suction handheld vacuum to remove dust from both the shade and tassels. Spot-clean any marks with a slightly damp cloth — avoid soaking the fabric.

Where does the Lanna work best?

At H 45 cm / 17.7″, the Lanna is a substantial table lamp — best as a single statement piece. Pairs effortlessly with global-eclectic, bohemian, modern luxe, mid-century modern, Hollywood Regency, warm-traditional, and maximalist interiors.

Best placements: console tables in entryways, sideboards in dining rooms, side tables beside a sofa or armchair, and credenzas in studies. The red shade is especially effective against cream walls, dark wood, leather upholstery, and rooms with brass or warm-metal hardware.

What is the return and exchange policy?

Dekorfine offers a 30-day return policy on undamaged items in their original packaging. Because the fabric shade and tassels are sewn by hand, slight variations in tassel spacing, fabric tone, or stitching alignment between units are part of authentic textile craftsmanship — not defects.

This policy applies to all lighting fixtures sold on dekorfine.com worldwide. You have 30 calendar days from receiving your item to request a return — the terms below keep every case fair for both sides.

Thirty days, simply stated.

You have 30 calendar days from the delivery date — verified by carrier tracking — to request a return or exchange. Items must be unused, with original tags and packaging, and accompanied by a receipt or proof of purchase.

Who pays return shipping

Quality or transport issue — we cover free return and exchange, including shipping.
Personal preference — if the fixture simply isn't right for you, return shipping is your responsibility. Rates vary by carrier.

Common consumer reasons: the product didn't meet expectations, sizing concerns, color preferences, change of mind, wrong item or quantity ordered, or overlooked product specifications.

Please inspect your order on arrival. If anything is defective, damaged, or incorrect, contact support@dekorfine.com immediately so we can make it right.

Product damaged due to quality defects or transit.
Unused items returned within the 30-day window.
Any item returned to sender undelivered.
Any item not delivered within 90 days.

Not eligible for return or exchange

Items returned outside the 30-day window.
Orders or items valued at $5,000 or more.
Bespoke, custom, or special-order products made to your specifications.
Light bulbs.
Products not in original condition or packaging.
Bulk orders — three or more of the same product. For large orders we recommend purchasing a single item first to confirm fit.

For items not eligible for refund, customers are responsible for return shipping. Shipping charges are non-refundable.

Cancellation
& EU Terms

Canceling an order.

Cancellations are possible within 3 days of order confirmation. Once this window closes, if the order hasn't shipped yet, contact us — we may still be able to help. Once the package is in transit, orders cannot be canceled.

If you insist on canceling after shipment, a 30%–50% fee (warehousing, order processing, and shipping costs) will be deducted from your refund. Please review your order carefully before confirming.

European Union — 14-day cooling-off

Orders shipped to the EU may be canceled or returned within 14 days for any reason, without justification. The item must still be unused, with original tags and packaging, and accompanied by proof of purchase.

We confirm the refund amount based on your reason and the items in your order.
We provide the return address and shipment labeling instructions. Refunds require these instructions to be followed.
You ship at your own cost. We do not cover return shipping or supply prepaid labels. Please include your order confirmation email inside the package.
Notify us by email once shipped, and share the tracking number if available.
We process your return within 3–5 business days of receipt.

Exchanges

The fastest way to get the item you want is to return the original, and once the return is accepted, place a separate order for the replacement.

Refund
Timing

Refunds, honestly timed.

Once we've received and inspected your return, we'll notify you whether the refund is approved. If approved, funds return automatically to your original payment method within 10 business days.

Bear in mind that your bank or card issuer may need additional time to process and post the refund on their end.
